While the expansion of Jay Z's Made In America festival from Philadelphia to Los Angeles may have pleased thousands of fans on the West Coast, the news on how much it's costing them might turn those smiles upside down. According to a recent LA Times report, residential tax payers could end up paying around $170,000 to cover expenses associated with the two-day music event held this August at Grand Park.

All together, the estimated cost of the festival is $670,000. Live Nation, the company who stages the event, is required to pay $500,000 of that debt, which includes fees for police patrols, street closures, trash cleanup, and other city services. L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti however believes the commercial event benefits the city way more than the unreimbursed expenses.

Will Made In America come back to L.A. next year?
