Meek Mill’s Championships album arrived on Friday (Nov. 30), with several standout tracks dominating the timeline. Most notably, Jay-Z's contribution to his collaboration with the Philadelphia rapper and Rick Ross has got everyone talking.

One of Hov's bars on the track "What's Free" is being interpreted as a diss aimed at Kanye West. The pair's relationship has historically been a complicated one and the internet is pretty divided on what to make of this latest comment.

"No red hat, don't Michael and Prince me and Ye/They separate you when you got Michael and Prince's DNA, uh/I ain't one of these house niggas you bought/My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours/My spou- (C'mon, man)," Hov raps during the verse.

In fact, enough people have interpreted the line as showcasing more tension between the two veteran rappers that Hov decided to clear the air himself, posting on Twitter for the first time in over a year.

“The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat),” he wrote on Twitter. “Now go pick up Meek album . Drake and Meek on there together .”

While Hov has spoken his piece on the matter, a lot of fans are taking the line to be a diss at 'Ye, perceiving it to be a line that further separates him from his former collaborator due to Yeezy's support of Donald Trump. The mention of the "red hat" is being interpreted as further pointing out the differences between them while others are siding with the track's creator in that the whole point is to not pit them against one another.

"I always love a mature Jay-Z response to a childish naive Kanye West opinion," one user wrote in response to the track.

Another fan is offering a take that sides with Hov's, commenting that "both [are] in their own lane" and shouldn't be put against one another.
