Ice Cube is reuniting with director Marcus Raboy and comedian Mike Epps for the new flick "Janky Promoters," it was announced today.

The trio helmed the last film in the "Friday" trilogy, "Friday After Next." "Everybody Hates Chris" star Terry Crews will also join the ensemble cast.

"Janky Promoters" follows Cube and Epps, a pair of shady concert promoters who get in deep trouble when presented with the chance to book a marquee hip-hop name for a big show. The big name will actually be a rapper, but the deal hasn't closed yet, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"[The movie] is cut from the same stone as "Friday," Raboy said in a statement. "It's definitely new characters and a new world here, but it's of the same vibe. It's gonna be grounded but colorful. We're not trying to do broad comedy; we're trying to do comedy with an edge."

Cube will produce the film alongside his Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez.---Jayson Rodriguez
