Today, Oct. 20, is the birthday of Harlem rapper and A$AP Mob member A$AP Ferg. He is now 30.

Young Ferg has been a member of the Harlem collective A$AP Mob since his friend A$AP Rocky noticed Ferg's impressive skills and hustle mentality. Running with New York's A$AP Mob, Ferg dropped his debut album Trap Lord in 2013, a solid and unexpected departure from what the public was used to hearing from the Mob. The debut was met with positive reviews and fueled by the infectious singles "Work (Remix)" and "Shabba," debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 200.

In addition to being a talented MC, Fergenstein has cultivated his passion for the fashion world into lucrative brands. Even before he started rapping, he went to art school and started Devoni Clothing in 2005. In 2014, Ferg started his Trap Lord clothing line collab with Young and Reckless.

Ferg dropped his sophomore album Always Strive and Prosper in April of last year and with tracks like "New Level" featuring Future, "Let It Bang" featuring ScHoolboy Q and "Hungry Ham," the LP has since gone gold in sales.

Last year, Ferg released his Still Striving mixtape featuring Meek Mill, Lil Yachty, Cam'ron, Famous Dex, Playboi Carti and plenty others.

Happy Birthday, Trap Lord!
