Chinx's murder earlier this year sent shockwaves through New York's rap community. Not only was it yet another instance of a young man having his life stripped away before his time, but it was eerily similar to the murder of his friend and mentor, Stack Bundles, in 2007. Still unsolved, the NYPD is now offering a paltry $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the case. In any event, eOne went ahead with the release of Chinx's debut album, the clear, cogent Welcome To JFK. Now, one of that record's standouts gets the video treatment. The clip for "Yay" includes some footage that was shot while the young MC was still alive, but more that is anchored by his friends and loved ones paying him tribute. Perhaps most moving is the moment during the first verse when Chinx pays tribute to Bundles, then mulls over what will happen to his soul once he's gone.
