Father Shaheed, DJ for the early '90s rap crew Poor Righteous Teachers, has died, according to reports. The New Jersey record spinner was reportedly in a motorcycle accident according to a post announcing the tragedy on Public Enemy's official FaceBook account. "The PE family sends condolences out to the family and friends of DJ Father Shaheed from Poor Righteous Teachers, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident," the message reads.

Poor Righteous Teachers rose to prominence in the early '90s off the strength off their hit "Rock This Funky Joint." Starting out on the 1s and 2s, Shaheed eventually transitioned into production.
