Former Crime Mob rapper Diamond is ready to go solo. The Atlanta femcee recently signed a solo deal with Jive imprint Battery Records.

Currently prepping her debut solo single, “Lotta Money,” for next month, Diamond is thrilled about the new deal. "I'm very excited about joining the Battery/Jive family and know we are going to make a lot of great music together,” she said in a press release. “This move will definitely provide the platform for me to continue making great music for my fans, and to continue repping for the females!”

“We welcome Diamond to the Battery family,” Neil Levine, general manager and senior vice president of Battery Records, added. “Her ability to constantly evolve makes her an exciting and remarkable artist that has proven that she can shine as a solo artist. We look forward to introducing Diamond and her new single ‘Lotta Money’ to the world.”

Diamond first made noise with the Lil Jon helmed group Crime Mob in 2004. Three years later she split from the group and has since released a handful of mixtapes including Bitch Muzik volumes 1 and 2 and Pardon My Swag (P.M.S.). Recently she appeared on the remix to Ludacris’ hit song, “My Chick Bad” with Eve and Trina.

The ATLien is the latest addition to Battery’s roster. Last month the label signed 2009 XXL Freshman Mickey Factz as well as ex-Bad Boy Yung Joc’s Swagg Entertainment imprint. —Elan Mancini
