New York rapper Cormega is just the latest hip-hop act to collaborate with a footwear brand for the release of a limited edition sneaker. Teaming up with Ewing Athletics and clothing brand 8&9, Mega Montana and company present a clean version of the Ewing 33 Hi silhouette in a heather grey colorway.

Set to release in the coming days, the pair of collaborative shoes will feature a heather grey nubuck upper with a hits of black on the Ewing branding. To add a pop to the shoes, the brand gives a new life to the outsole by giving it a shade of neon green. To give a more personal touch, the sneakers feature a Cormega signature logo on the side panel of the shoes while the back of the sneaker heels feature “Mega” written below the signature “33.” With assistance from the 8&9 brand in the design process, a clothing capsule for this project will release in the near future.

The collaboration between Cormega and Ewing Athletics will release at a special launch event at Privilege NYC. Located at 84 Clinton St, N.Y., the shoes will be sold for a limited time only at the location. There will be an online release as well at ewingathletics.com on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

In case you missed it, we talked to Cormega, Alchemist, Havoc and others about the making of Mega's classic 2001 album The Realness.
