Earl Sweatshirt could be teasing some new music, according to a now-deleted post on his Twitter account. Some eagle-eyed followers spotted a tweet early Friday morning (Sept. 25) which many took to believe that he could be dropping something soon.

"The vibes... SRS COMING SOON THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER !!" he wrote, accompanied by two emojis on Friday at 3 a.m. Though it's unclear what "SRS" means, he appears to be implying that the end of some wait is near, and fans have been waiting a long time since Earl's last project.

It's been a long three years since's his last album I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside. In that time, a lot has happened in the rapper's life, including the passing of his father. In coping with his death, Earl suffered from depression and anxiety that led him to cancel a European tour earlier this year. Most recently, his friend and fellow rapper Mac Miller suddenly passed away on Sept. 7, something that Earl Sweatshirt publicly mourned.

However, Earl also recently tweeted that his new music was being reflected through Mac's spirit. "Mac spirit allowing me to fuck with my music rn and im THANKFUL," he wrote on Sept. 10. Given the healing power of music, it's possible that many of those close to Mac will use creating new "vibes" as an outlet to cope with his death.
