Drake Breaks The Beatles’ Record for Most Hot 100 Top 10 Hits in a Calendar Year
Although his birthday is on Wednesday (Oct. 24), it looks like Drake might have some early celebrating to do. Champagne Papi has surpassed The Beatles' record for the most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits in a single calendar year. Drizzy officially has 12.
As reported by Billboard, Drake earned his 12th hit when he teamed up with Bad Bunny for the release of "Mia" last week. As previously reported, Drake is also coming for The Beatles' other records. In February, Drake tied the legendary band for the most number of Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 songs in a single decade (they each are the only artists to clock 20).
Earlier this year, he was announced as The Top Streamed Artist in Spotify History. His single, "In My Feelings," played a major part and snagged the title of The Most Streamed Song of the Summer. The song of the summer was accompanied by a viral dance challenge, crafted by Instagram comedian Shiggy, who was also featured in the song's video.
In other Drake-related news, he teamed up with Travis Scott to release the visual for their collab "Sicko Mode" last week. The Dave Myers-directed music video shows the two rappers living it up in Scott's hometown of Houston. Drizzy has also surprised fans on his Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour by bringing out Scott to perform their hit.
Congrats to Drake on his record-breaking achievement and check out the Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour before it wraps in Atlanta on Nov. 18.
