We love our city and they love us. Let's build, not destroy. #Baltimore

The protests and riots in Baltimore over the death of Freddie Gray have been the talk of America this week and athletes and celebrities have descended upon the city to join the people. Yesterday, NBA star and Baltimore native Carmelo Anthony and fellow Baltimore native Kevin Liles marched through the city to show solidarity with their hometown brethren. CNN reporter Brian Todd, who is apparently completely out of touch, went on television and basically claimed that he can't tell the difference between Simmons and Liles:

We love our city and they love us. Let's build, not destroy. #Baltimore

Todd was eventually face-to-face with Liles during the march and wouldn't let go of the notion that Liles is actually Simmons:

We love our city and they love us. Let's build, not destroy. #Baltimore

The footage sheds light on the issue of white media members covering a predominantly African-American issue. Not only were Todd's actions unprofessional, they were also borderline racist and completely insensitive. Much respect to Liles for keeping his cool during the situation.
