Update (Jan. 31, 12:24 p.m. EST):

Governors Ball has released a new flyer today (above) sharing the full festival lineup as well as the performers by day. Single day tickets and three day passes are on sale now.

Original Story:

The seventh annual Governors Ball is set to begin in June, and Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and the legendary Wu-Tang Clan will all be taking the stage during the three-day musical extravaganza.

Schoolboy Q, Danny Brown, Rae Sremmurd, A$AP Ferg and YG are among the rappers on the musical festival lineup, which takes place on Fri., June 2 to Sun. June 4 in New York City.

With such a star-studded lineup of hip-hop luminaries, it looks like the 2017 Governors Ball will be more lit than ever. Directed by New York City-based Founders Entertainment, this year's event will also focus on supporting New York's economic infrastructure in addition to putting on a lively show. The concert series has generated over $125 million in economic benefits for the New York area since 2014.

In an interesting note, the event has the added benefit of offering a chance for Chano and Childish Gambino to take the stage together. By the time the day of the Governors Ball arrives, they could have a joint project for all of us to listen to.

During a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Chance confirmed that the project will be getting released at some point in the future -- just probably not any time soon. “The tape is not done or close to being done, but it will come out,” he said during the interview.

Will the two rappers drop a new project before this year's Governors Ball? Who knows, but there's always the chance they still take the stage together, and maybe even debut some new music. You can cop a ticket to see some potential history in the making event here.
