Cash Money Records founders Birdman and Ronald “Slim” Williams are giving back to the New Orleans community. The record executives’ Johnny and Gladys Williams Foundation has teamed up with Goldman Sachs and The Pack Shack to provide meals for those in need.

The Cash Money roster, surprise guests and 200 volunteers will come together on Thursday (Feb. 16) to pack enough food to feed 50,000 less fortunate families and those affected by the recent tornado that hit New Orleans.

“It’s our 20-year anniversary as a major label distributed through Republic Records/UMG and we wanted to celebrate this milestone by giving back as much as we can during 2017,” Slim said. “We’ve done the Turkey Giveaway for the past 20 years, but we felt like we could do more. All-Star Weekend provided a wonderful opportunity to invite some friends down and do some good. We’re very thankful to Goldman Sachs for joining us.”

The Packing Party will be just one of the many events that Cash Money is running during the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. That same night, the Big Tymers are set to perform at the House of Blues. And on Friday (Feb. 17), the venue will play host a 20th anniversary celebration for Cash Money.
