Like a punch from a world-class fighter, support for Meek Mill is coming from all angles. Most recently, boxer Gervonta Davis paid homage to the incarcerated rapper following his bout with Jesus Cuellar on Saturday night (April 21).

It was fight night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The card also featured Adrien Broner vs. Jessie Vargas. That bout also had some hip-hop-related moments when Broner walked to the ring to the soundtrack of 6ix9ine's "Gummo." He also name-dropped the Brooklyn rapper in his post-fight interview.

Davis, a protégé of Floyd Mayweather Jr., fought and beat Jesus Cuellar to win the vacant WBA 130-pound championship, improving his record to 20-0-19KO. Before the fight, he walked to the ring rocking a jacket with Drake's OVO Owl on it. While accepting his win, he rocked a shirt with Meek Mill's face on it. Meek has cosigned the young boxer in the past, and Davis considers the rapper a huge supporter of his work in the ring.

A number of rappers were spotted at the boxing match including 50 Cent, Rick Ross, O.T. Genasis and Casanova, who was filmed congratulating Davis after the win.

In related news, there was a reported dust up between the crews of Casanova and 6ix9ine outside the venue. While that has not been confirmed, XXL has confirmed with the New York City Police Department that someone did discharge a weapon outside the Barclays at around 9:30 p.m. No one was injured in the shooting and police did not make any arrests.
