It looks like Vince Staples could soon be crossing into the world of TV. On June 26, The Boondocks producer Carl Jones uploaded an image of the rapper, DRAM and other entertainers in an Instagram post hinting at the coming of a new Adult Swim show.

In the post, which includes images of Staples, DRAM, writer/media personality Giana Lawrence, actress Quinta Brunson and writer Judnick Maynard. "New T👀N Coming Soon! #AdultSwim @bigbabydram @vincestaples @gsagenius @quintab @judnikki," reads the caption for the post.

Thinking about the eccentricity of Staples, who once started a GoFundMe campaign to have people pay to have him shut up, it's honestly a bit surprising he hadn't been involved in a TV series to this point. With his wry sense of humor, it feels like he'd be a natural for the sort of sarcastic, condescending shows that show up on Adult Swim. Besides that, his pal Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, both of whom he rapped with when Odd Future was still a group, had their own show on the network (Loiter Squad) from 2012 to 2014.

On DRAM's end of things, the rapper has a lighthearted personality that would probably lend itself well to a lot of TV shows. We'll have to wait and see how he fits into this supposed new TV series.

Carl Jones is responsible for producing many of the best episodes of The Boondocks, an Aaron McGruder-created cartoon strip/cartoon that spotlighted political and racial issues plaguing Black America. With him being involved in all of this, there's a chance we could be seeing something very dope soon.
