Big Boi and Phantogram’s Collaborative Album Is Done
Big Boi announced via his Instagram account that his collaborative album with the electronic rock band Phantogram is finished. Big Boi and Phantogram collaborated on the rapper's 2012 album Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors on the song "Lines." There is no official release date for the project but we should be getting it by the end of 2015.
Last year's OutKast reunion tour had fans hopeful that a new music from the legendary duo would release but that has not come to fruition over the past 12 months. Andre 3000 has been focusing more on acting and will be co-starring in the upcoming ABC crime-drama, American Crime. According to Variety, Dre will star alongside Regina King and the two will play the parents of a teen who is accused of the season's central crime. "Personally, I couldn't be more excited than to work again with Andre," said show runner John Ridley, who worked with Three Stacks on the Jimi Hendrix biopic. "He is an amazing individual, a true artist and [the Jimi Hendrix biopic] is one of the reasons I was given the reins on American Crime. Folks at ABC were absolutely moved by Andre's performance in the film, and by the overall language of cinema we used in telling the story. It's fair to say American Crime might not exist were it not for our previous collaboration."
