Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre technology is coming to your cell phone. Mobile phone company HTC, just invested $300 million in Beats Electronics, the parent company of the super producer’s successful headphone line.

According to USA Today, the new partnership means Beats Electronics powered cell phones could hit stores as early as this fall.

"The marriage of these two companies is very, very good,” said Jimmy Iovine, the chairman of Interscope and co-founder of Beats. “We are very good for each other. With HTC's innovation, technology and leadership, we feel we can really compete with anybody in this area."

HTC’s innovations include technology that allows smartphone users to record and watch 3D video with out glasses.

This is not the first time Beats has partnered with another company. Monster Cable and HP have made products with the electronics companie in the past, and Chrysler’s 2012 300S, due this fall, will also feature a sound system by Dre as well. —Henry Greenfield
