Aston Matthews’ Pitch for XXL Freshman 2016

XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

This pitch comes from A$ton Matthews.The rapper has been on the scene for some time now and has garnered co-signs from big dogs such as A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q and Action Bronson. His break out tape, Aston 3:16, cemented him as serious contender in the realm of rap and has kept his name relevant for the past two years. He recently released two new songs, "Chi Chi" and "Hunger Games," in preparation for his upcoming mixtape, Chapoveli. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.

The XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class.
