Asher Roth is slow and steady when it comes to making his rap comeback, but seems to be making all the right moves to do so. The Pennsylvania rapper and former XXL Freshman hasn't dropped a solo project of his own since 2014's RetroHash, but has been dropping loosies and popping up as a feature with the likes of Nottz and Blended Babies. Today (June 3), Roth drops off a new collab with Boston's Michael Christmas and San Fran's Larry June for the fresh track "Laundry."

The laidback, barebones production from Chuck Inglish, a familiar collaborator of Roth's, goes perfectly with the flows of Asher, Mickey and Larry. Each of these unorthodox MCs takes his turn on the beat with Asher reminiscing about how Dipset's Juelz Santana first inspired him to spit.

"Aristocrat, bureaucrat, diplomat/Listening to Juelz made me wanna rap/Now I'm on this track and these girls all on me/Telling me my perfume smells like clean laundry/Dog bounty hunter brought us dryer sheets too/Clean underwear got me feeling brand new, like woo."

Christmas, who just dropped his own EP Baggy Eyes last month, holds down the easy-to-follow hook and misses the old days when girls smelled "fresh like laundry out the pack."

Although some may write of the long-haired rapper as just the guy who dropped "I Love College" back in the day, Roth has proved his lyrical prowess many times and plans to do it again. Back in March, Roth teased an upcoming project he has in the works called Red Hot Revival. No telling whether "Laundry" will make for the project's first single, but the fresh cut deserves a spin nonetheless.
