A$AP Mob members Rocky and Ferg have seen vast success over the years as solo artists. Their individual efforts have given them opportunities to prosper much farther than their music ventures, and now, A$AP Twelvyy is next up at bat.

Twelvyy—born Jamel Phillips—took to Instagram Thursday (July 20) to announce the release of his long-awaited debut album, 12. Standing in front of a green screen which projected images of his fans and his beloved hometown of Harlem, the rapper—who's provided standout bars on tracks like "Finances," "Gotham City" and "Trilla" with the Mob— revealed some information only those close to him would know, such as his parents' names and where he was born. "It's been a long time comin'," A$AP Twelvyy continued after the brief introduction. "I did my time in the shadows. I am next. I am now. I am forever."

The release date for 12 will be Aug. 12, with Twelvyy captioning the clip, "August 4th. 8/4. 8 + 4 = .............. 12" to explain his reasoning. Needless to say his debut will feature verses from A$AP Mob in addition to appearances from Joey Badass and Flatbush Zombies.

Two weeks ago, A$AP Twelvyy released his first single "Strapped," which many believed was off the 2127301090 mixtape he hinted at a year ago, though never dropped. “‘Strapped’ was a labor of love. That’s a movie I’ve been starring in my whole life," he said about the track. "It’s only right I begin this next chapter with the super hero origin story.” He followed that up with "Yea Yea Yea (Maps)."
