Action Bronson's beloved dog, Coco, has just passed away. The rapper revealed as much in a heartfelt Instagram post he uploaded on Monday (Sept. 4). In the post, Bronson mourns the loss of his pooch.

"IT BREAKS MY HEART TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND," Bronson says in the caption for a post that includes an image of Coco. "COCO IS SO MUCH MORE THAN A DOG. HE IS OUR TEACHER OUR HEALER AND OUR SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR. I LOVE HIM AND MISS HIM MORE THAN I COULD EVEN HANDLE. HE WENT WITH A STOMACH FULL OF THE FINEST JAPANESE A5 BEEF THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE OBTAINED A MIND FULL OF SOUR BEING HELD BY HIS PARENTS. THIS MAN COULD NEVER BE REPLACED. 1999-2017 @cyclop3z."

In another post, Bronson, who dropped his Blue Chips 7000 album a couple of weeks ago, reveals that Coco lived to the age of 18. "18 1/2 MAGNIFICENT YEARS. MY BABY BOY. WE'LL SEE YOU WHEN WE GET THERE PAPI. @cyclop3z 1999-2017," reads the lyricist's caption for the pic of Coco walking through a field.

Bronson's coming off the release of a new album and the start of a new Snapchat dating show, but it's easy to see how the death of his beloved pet could put a damper on his recent success. Here's to hoping he can keep his head up in the coming days.

We send our condolences to Bronson and anyone else who might have been touched by the life and death of his dog Coco.
