In the wake of XXXTentacion memorials organized earlier this week in Los Angeles and Deerfield Beach, Fla., following the slain rapper's untimely death, his mother, Cleopatra Bernard, hosted a vigil Wednesday night (June 20) at X's home in Parkland, Fla.

Footage of the event posted on social media shows a crowd of people assembled outside listening to XXXTentacion's songs "Jocelyn Flores" and "Moonlight" while holding up candles and shooting fireworks. Bernard can also be seen sending a lit lantern into the sky in honor of her fallen son. In another clip, Bernard announces to the crowd that police have arrested a suspect in connection to the alleged murder.

"I just got a text right now from one of the detectives," Bernard says, while the crowd cheers. "They just arrested them. They just arrested them. That means they've got him."

The vigil took place at a nearly 6,000 square foot home that the rapper, born Janseh Onfroy, purchased in November. Neighbors told TMZ that construction crews were completing the installation of a security fence around the property in the weeks leading up to X's death.

Earlier this week, fans began filling the street in Deerfield Beach where the rapper was shot with flowers, candles and chalk art. Meanwhile, blogger Adam Grandmaison, a.k.a. Adam 22, who briefly managed XXXTentacion, organized a memorial event in Los Angeles that gathered hundreds of people and was ultimately broken up by police.

On Thursday, XXX's mom also revealed on Instagram that her son was expecting a child. You can watch clips of Wednesday's memorial service in Parkland below.
