Seven months after the tragic death of XXXTentacion, the late rapper's son, Gekyume Onfroy, is born. On Saturday (Jan. 26), the mother of the child and X's girlfriend, Jenesis Sanchez, welcomed the baby boy into the world.

In an Instagram story X's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, posted on Saturday night, she wrote simply, "Yume has officially arrived." Gekyume, or the nickname Yume as Cleo calls him, is welcomed three days after what would've been X's 21st birthday on Jan. 23.

A statement provided by X's team after the birth announcement reads "XXXTentacion's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and Jenesis Sanchez are thrilled to announce the arrival of baby boy Gekyume Onfroy—born January 26, 2019. We’re happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy. Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means 'a different state' or 'next' universe of thought. XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love."

This news arrives after a week of intermittent tweets hinting at the impending birth of Gekyume. Sanchez was already a few months pregnant with the baby at the time of X's death on June 18, 2018.

X's mother had previously announced the name of X's son with an Instagram post in November of 2018. "His name is Gekyume," she wrote in the caption for the post, which included a baby emoji.

John Cunningham, who was XXX's trusted producer while the rapper was still alive, was one of the first people to announce that the birth of Gekyume was about to come into the world. "it’s baby week 👼🏽," Cunningham wrote in a tweet last Monday (Jan. 20).

Congrats to the mother, X's own mother and Gekyume himself.
