Prince was arguably a one-of-a-kind musician, voice and icon in music, and it would be hard for any artist to live up to the legacy he left behind following his passing last year. Vic Mensa, however, is hoping to get the chance to play the role of the late pop star in a biopic someday, pitching himself for the opportunity in an interview with Montreality.

During the interview, The Autobiography rapper says that if there is a potential Prince biopic, he should play the role of the pop icon, labeling him as one of his biggest idols of all time.

"I think I should play Prince in the biopic," says Vic, who paid tribute to Prince by dressing up as the singer for Halloween in 2016. "Prince is one of my biggest idols of all time and he's the real King of Pop. Some people will be mad that I said that. The reason why I'd be able to kill the role as Prince is because I got that mouthpiece. Prince was butter smooth with it and I feel like I could do it."

While we haven't seen to much of Vic Mensa's acting or singing abilities, his unique and experimental sound in music might make him a good prospect for the role someday.

Also in his conversation with Montreality, the Chicago native discusses what it means to be "Woke," the tension between Jay-Z and Kanye West and much more.
