Tink Cuts Ties With Timbaland and Epic Records
Tink has been laying low on the music scene over the last couple of years, aside from a couple of features, but now, she's showing us why. The female rapper has reportedly cut ties with Timbaland's Mosley Music Group and Epic Records after signing to them four years ago.
The Chicago native is now an independent artist after negotiating a release from Mosley Music Group, and is working on new music for fans in the near future. She previously confirmed the news on Instagram by writing an empowering caption on a photo of herself, including "#freeatlast" at the end.
Tink also previously said that her Think Tink album, which was never released, was initially completed, but never saw the light of day after Timbo wanted to make changes to it.
The young spitter is working on her Winter’s Diary 5 project, which is part of her consistent Winter's Diary mixtape series that fans know and love. She also recently dropped her "Breakin' Me" single, as well as a coinciding music video, earlier this month.
The 2015 XXL Freshman has remained mum in recent time, but last year, she did hop on Lil Bibby's "Gotta Have Some More" record.
If you recall, Timbaland worked heavily with Tink and even compared her to Aaliyah, which ruffled up some feathers with die-hard fans of the late singer. The super producer even said that God helped him discover the female MC and was very blown away by her talent.
