It's been long established that Jay Z and Beyonce are hip-hop's royal couple. But according to a new report, there may have one time been trouble in paradise. An author of an unauthorized Beyonce biography is alleging that Jay and Bey broke up back in the day for almost a year over rumors that Hov was messing with his young signee, Rihanna.

Though author J. Randy Taraborrelli now writes that “It’s safe to say that Rihanna and Beyonce are friends," Jay has been tied to a bunch of women before he put a ring on Queen Bey.
