The Weeknd Performs ‘Earned It’ on ‘The Tonight Show’

The Weeknd appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (Feb. 12) to perform his smooth track, "Earned It." Performing alongside his own band, Weeknd reminds us why he's one of the most talented dudes in the music industry. His energy and powerful vocals bring the sultry track to life. Although the XO singer wasn't surrounded by half naked women on Fallon, he still delivers. Check out the performance above.

"Earned It" appears on the soundtrack for the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Gray film. The track is the perfect match to the seductive movie, which hits theaters today.

Earlier this month, Weeknd dropped a remix to Mike WiLL Made It's "Drinks On Us," adding his signature vocals to the track. We may get a new project from Abel this year, being that 2014 was pretty quiet. But some pretty funny news came out earlier this week. Katy Perry was asked by Buzzfeed on the red carpet at the 57th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles what's her favorite song to have sex to. Perry listed off some old standards (Marvin Gaye, Jeff Buckley) but settled on The Weeknd’s “Often” as her contemporary favorite. Calling the singer “the most sexual deliverer of beautiful lyrics right now,” she gave the song a glowing endorsement. But the highs don't go without the lows. Last month, the Tdot crooner was arrested after reportedly punching a police officer. The fight broke out around 4:20 a.m. at the Cromwell Hotel. Post bail, the Toronto native posted a pic of himself on his Instagram boarding a private jet with “escape from Las Vegas” as the caption.
