And:"AH Real One"

Name: Parlay Starr

Age: 30
Reppin': I was born and raised in SOUTH CENTRAL LA California in the Pueblo Projects. We call it
The "EASTSIDE LOW BOTTOMZ FROM DA 50'S TO DA DUB'S".  We call it the Low Bottom because it's the bottom of SOUTH CENTRAL LA next door to SKIT ROW. Behind our hood it nothing but factories, a few miles from Downtown LA.
I've Been Rapping Since: Moby Dick was a Gold Fish haha. I been freestyling since a little kid but got real with it in 2001, when I hooked up with 2nd to None from Compton.  I started hitting the road with them, sometimes with DJ Quik, and things got real. I was loving that feeling of the crowd, because really basketball was my 1st love, so I'm use to getting cheered for. Love it!
My style has been compared to: Well my style and skill hasn't been compared to anyone yet, they can't put a finger on it. Some say SLIM THUG, I'm like No. Some even said E40, I said "E40 hard as fuck but NO." I'm far from that legend. They do say I have some ways like 2Pac. Swag like 'Pac, real life problems like 'Pac, with similar situations with certain artist's in the industry like 'Pac. But to be honest I sound like me "Parlay Starr."
My Standout records and/or moments have been: Right now, I'm on the road promoting my latest mixtape hosted by DJ Whoo Kid titled STARRFACE and my standout record right now is "Azz N Elbows" with two West Coast greats SNOOP DOGG and KOKANE. It really brings back that West Coast feel we missing. I also have a song with CHRIS BROWN, TYGA & KEVIN MCCALL titled "Like You," the remix its doing great. Working with CHRIS was fun he is so full of energy, good vibes, and he work hard him and K-Mac. SNOOP DOGG, all i can say is everyday is 420.
I'm gonna change the game by: The game do need some change right about now, I feel I can change the game by just bringing back the Realness to RAP. See you gotta understand dance music is not HIP HOP! Hip Hop is battle, hip hop has a message in it. Dance music is Jazz, R&B, Soul, dubstep shit like dat, HIP HOP is the voice of the voiceless ain't nothing wrong with party dance hip hop, but enough is enough. I bring hope to the hopeless. That's how I will change the game. I try to tell artist's to make music that's you and everything that you've been through.  Then your music becomes real and then you will see that the world shares similar joy & pain. Chuuurch !
I’d Like to Work With: 50 Cent, he keeps it hood and real. Ice Cube, Jay-Z, Rihanna,
T.I., Alicia Keys, DMX and Scarface. I love G-Unit though, DJ Whoo Kid [is someone] I want to stay working with.
My goal in Hip Hop is: To stay making great music. The type of music that will be played 20 years down the line because it's so real and relevant.
I'm going to be the next: I'm working on being the Jay-Z of the West Coast. Success!
