Get up and move, New Jersey. Meet Chad B, the dance/hip-hop artist who is determined to crossover with his big records. A diamond in the ruff.

Standout: "Hit It (Remix)"

Also check out: "Cashmere N Cognac"

And: "Pour Me Up"

Name: Chad B

Age: 25

Hometown: Newark, New Jersey

I grew up listening to: Whitney Houston, Jadakiss, Lauryn Hill, Nas, Total, Jay Z, Biggie, Tupac. ('90's hip-hop as a whole)

Most people don't know I: I have a book coming out that me and my brother wrote together called Good Karma. It is primarily based around my life but from a little brother perspective. It touches on the daily struggles and frustrations males go through when growing up in "DA BRICKZ" Newark, New Jersey.

My style's been compared to: Most people put me in the category of a Flo Rida or Pitbull due to my combination of catchy Lyrics with fast paced dance or pop beats.

My standout records and/or moments to date have been: When my dance record “Hit It” featuring Lumidee made it to the radio, Power 105.1’s DJ Prostyle broke the record; it was the first time ever hearing my record on the radio. It went from a simple “Jersey Club” track to 106 & Park's New Joint of The Day and more. Most recently, I would have to say touring Europe and performing my new dance singles “TipWet” featuring FatMan Scoop and “ Presidential” featuring DJ Prostyle in cities like Dubai, Amsterdam and Germany.

My goal in Hip-Hop is: When people see Chad B especially NJ fans and even NJ artists they see hope! They've heard me on the radio and seen me on TV now they see me touring around the world as an independent artist. I want to above all be the artist from NJ who when they actually reach popular culture comes back and establishes a musical infrastructure similar to that of Atlanta.

Most people really don't grasp how bad NJ is within regard to [the] hip-hop community and culture and its sad because there's literally hundreds of very talented artists. I want my impact to be like: “He did a great Job with what cards life dealt him." There are so many similar stories like me why should mine be any different, right? I don’t want it to be different; I want my music to make people happy and my life to be respected! I want my music to reach mass appeal, influence is the only “diamond” artists really have and I plan to use my diamond to the fullest extent. Michael Jackson is the greatest example of this. I’ve been given the opportunity and I'm handling it well. This all takes time and you really have to stay consistent, poised and humble. I'm living proof of that.

I'm gonna be the next: Superstar, why? Because my brand potential is limitless, I have the natural ability to reach mass appeal without having to sell myself short. What others artists may feel is not their “niche," I do naturally. I have no ceiling, well, honestly none of us having ceilings. Artists or the average person. If more people understood this we would reach even higher levels of life.
