Earlier today, Nike made waves in the shoe game by releasing information and an exclusive photo of their brand-new Nike LeBron 11s. According to Nike, the shoe is "designed to protect LeBron James and his combination of power and speed" and is "built from the inside out." It's also extra light-weight and versatile, weighing in at roughly 14.5 oz. in a men's size 9. As far as the shoe's aesthetic goes, the 11 represents "duality," with the sneaker's sock liner even saying "LeBron" and "James," depending on which direction you look at it from.

For its initial run, the LeBron 11 will be released in two colorways"King's Pride" and "Terracotta Warrior." Check out each one's description below, and get a glimpse of the shoe above.

LEBRON 11 KING’S PRIDE colorway

James plays with fearlessness, determination and the heart of a lion. The King’s Pride colorway draws inspiration from the lion–its dark loden upper color and the floral print on the collar lining reflect the pride of the wildlife.

LEBRON 11 TERRACOTTA WARRIOR colorway

James was impressed by the Terracotta Warrior Exhibition which he visited when he was in Xi’An, China, in 2011. The exhibit, plus James’s playing style–which reflects a warrior with grit, confidence, hard work and determination–inspired the Terracotta Warrior colorway. The design of the shoe is inspired by the Terracotta Warriors as we see them today—in neutral stone colors along with pop colors of purple/teal/red to represent how they were originally painted. The graphic texture on the upper articulates the linked, plated armor that the warriors wore.

The "King’s Pride" colorway hits stores across the globe on October 12, 2013, and the "Terracotta Warrior" edition will be available in China starting October 1, 2013, and on November 27, 2013, in North America and the rest of the world.
