G-Eazy's When It's Dark Out faces massive expectations after 2014's These Things Happen became one of the biggest surprises of the year when it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. With 17 new tracks and features from Big Sean, Tory Lanez, Too $hort and Kehlani amongst others, Eazy flexed his muscle a little bit to prove that last year's breakout was no fluke.

XXL caught up with G-Eazy last winter while he was recording the project and the rapper told us of his hopes that the music will have a lasting impact. “I want people to connect and identify with the stories and hope it means something a year from now or more,” he said. “You make music within this lonely space in a room with no windows for months on end.
