Steve Stoute Calls For Los Angeles Clippers Boycott By Fans And Sponsors

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s despicable comments sent waves throughout the entire country and now Steve Stoute is calling for fans and sponsors to boycott Clippers games. Stoute is a staple in the hip-hop community thanks to his work with artists like Jay Z, Nas, and Jadakiss and is the founder and CEO of Translation. One of Translation’s biggest clients is State Farm--who has Clippers star Chris Paul as one of its biggest endorsers. Stoute went on Colin Cowherd’s ESPN Radio show this morning to say that State Farm will no longer be working with the Clippers organization.

Stoute belives that a boycott by sponsors and fans will force Sterling to sell the Clippers. "It's the businesses that sponsor this team that have to be appalled with that comment and that racist point of view and they have to stop supporting,” says Stoute. “And it's the fans that have to say, 'I am not going to buy tickets or things and support a team that has racist comments.' if they don't want African Americans at the game, they don't want Latinos at the game, they don't want women at the game. I think the combination of sponsors, owners and the fans boycotting will force the sale of that team."
