Ski Mask The Slump God Is Sampling the ‘Boy Meets World’ Theme Song on His New Mixtape
Fans have been waiting patiently for Ski Mask The Slump God's upcoming mixtape, Beware of the Book of Eli. There appears to be a valid reason for the holdup, as Ski recently revealed clearing a sample from a popular 1990s sitcom is slowing up the process of the release.
After saying the project would drop in December, and apparently getting some flak after it didn't, he recently hopped on Instagram to share the news. "STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS. YOU CANT GET RID OF ME, STFU ABOUT THE TAPE MY SAMPLES ARE BEING CLEARED ITS NOT EASY TO USE SHIT LIKE THE BOY MEETS WORLD THEME SONG AS A SAMPLE," he captioned a picture of himself.
For those unfamiliar, Boy Meets World was a popular teen sitcom that aired from 1993-2000 starring Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who played the role of every teen's dream girl, Topanga.
The new tape will contain a song called "Boy Meets World," featuring Busta Rhymes, which is presumably the track he is talking about. Ski revealed the tracklist for the upcoming tape, which has nine songs and features from Lil Yachty, Offset, Rich The Kid and others, last month.
While we wait for the tape, Ski has been steadily putting out new tracks including "WTF!?," "Poltergeist" and a snippet of the upcoming track "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle."
