Fans are still patiently awaiting Ski Mask The Slump God's anticipated Beware of the Book of Eli project, which he announced last year. After some setbacks and changes to the forthcoming musical collection, the Florida rapper gave a new update on the project on Instagram Sunday (April 22), along with a snippet of a new song.

Posting a video of the track preview to his page, The Slump God assures fans that the tape is "coming sooner" than we think, but doesn't confirm a set release date.

"The Tape Is Coming Sooner The You Expect I’ll Give You This Till Then Want A Feature On It Or Na?" he writes.

The new song, which appears to be titled "He Diddy" according to the screen shot's music app, starts off with a simplistic piano introduction that Ski Mask imitates before spitting a fast-paced flow.

"Purging the city, he Diddy/I beat up the kitty, he Diddy," he rhymes. "I stack up the benches, he Diddy, he Diddy, he Diddy, but his name not Diddy."

There is a chance the final version could get a guest feature based on the demand from fans in the comments.

Back in December 2017, Ski Mask The Slump God told fans that he would be dropping the project that month, but unfortunately, the end of the year came and went without a release. XXL spoke with the rising star last week (April 19), who told us that the tape would be dropping sometime this month and that it would be worth the wait.
