XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

Third up, Remy Boy Monty. The Paterson, New Jersey native already has three appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 ("679," "My Way" and "Jugg"). He is the second act to emerge out of Fetty Wap's Remy Boyz 1738 label under RGF Productions. Monty unleashed his debut project, MontyZoo: The Mixtape, in December of 2015. The most notable singles off of the release include "Not Poppin" and "Over Night." Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.

The XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class.
