OverDoz. Go on a Drive-By Crime Spree in “District” Video
In anticipation of their long-awaited 2008 album to drop sometime in the near future, OverDoz. is releasing the hyped up visuals for their "District" record. The new video features Kent Jamz, Joon, P and Cream in their Crenshaw element, as they ride around their neighborhood wreaking some havoc on residents.
The guys roll through the streets in a vehicle together, where they stop to pull robberies on bystanders, and even pull out weapons on some to get their belongings. "District" is directed by Calmatic, who helped put the vision together for the hip-hop group.
XXL spoke with OverDoz., who described the music video's feel as more of "filming a movie," with it captivating their struggles as a collective.
"It always feels like we are filming a movie and not just a music video," they stated. "Calmatic knew exactly how to get our point across and brought the struggles we face as individuals and as a group to light. Hopefully everyone else can relate!"
The group's new track, "District," is set to be off of OverDoz.'s upcoming 2008 album, which they have been teasing for some time now. The release date has yet to be confirmed, but we can expect it sometime in the near future.
Previously, the collective released songs such as their Pharrell-assisted "Last Kiss," as well as their "New Ish" and "Oldie But Goodie" tracks.
