Before the 2019 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting will launch on March 25, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2019 XXL Freshman cover.

Born in Mobile, Ala. and coming of age in Sacramento, Calif., OMB Peezy's music is a stylistic mix of the places he's been. With a very distinctive voice, penchant for vivid storytelling and a flows that can adapt to any beat, Peezy has talent in droves. His skills caught the attention of E-40, who signed him (as did 300 Entertainment). Strong projects like Humble Beginnings and Loyalty Over Love soon followed in 2017, and he delivered new music across 2018. Here in 2019, expect a new project for him, as the 22-year-old rapper continues to climb while releasing new music.

In his pitch, Peezy makes his case for the 2019 XXL Freshman cover via his many talents. He mentions sports and other athletic feats, his business ventures and of course, his ability to bar up. Being talented at all sorts of things never hurts.

Now that you've heard his pitch, remember to vote for your favorite artist beginning March 25. The 2019 XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to make your vote count for your favorite artist.

Once you voted, head over to XXL’s YouTube page to take a look back at the 2018 XXL Freshman Class, which featured Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, J.I.D, Stefflon Don, BlocBoy JB, YBN Nahmir, Wifisfuneral and Trippie Redd.
