Coke Boy Rapper Chinx was shot and killed on May 17 and the authorities are still looking for the person(s) responsible for the shooting. According to NBC 4, the NYPD is currently offering a $2,500 reward for information that can lead to an arrest in connection to the crime.

Chinx, real name Lionel Pickens, was sitting in his parked Porsche around 4 a.m. on Queens Boulevard. While in the vehicle, another car pulled up next to the Porsche and opened fire. Chinx was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, while the second victim Antar Alziadi was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Since his passing, the hip-hop community have been in deep mourning and wondering what could have led to Pickens' death.

The New York rapper, who was 31-years old at the time of his death, was preparing his debut album before his life was taken. Since May, others have continued to work on the project, which was available for stream on Tuesday (Aug.11). Today (Aug. 14), Chinx's posthumous offering Welcome to JFK officially hits shelves. The project features appearances from French Montana, Stack Bundles, Nipsey Hu$$le, Ty Dolla $ign, Meet Sims, Jeremih and more.

A GoFundMe page was created for those who wish to help Chinx's family. The late rapper’s longtime love Janelli Caceres honored him with a new tattoo. In a picture that popped up on TheShadeRoomInc’s Instagram page, Caceres, who also has a tattoo that reads “Mrs. Pickens” on her upper back, is seen with Chinx’s profile inked on her right shoulder blade.

Anyone with information about the Chinx shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
