Nike to Re-Release Kobe Bryant’s Zoom Kobe 1 Protro

Kobe Bryant’s sneaker line with Nike will get the retro treatment this winter. Kicking off the retro series with the Black Mamba’s first signature sneaker under the Swoosh, the Zoom Kobe 1 Protro, Nike will release the anticipated kicks during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.

The updated version of the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 features a black and yellow upper with hits of silver metallic on the Swoosh branding and midsole. Carrying the same aesthetic and design as the original Zoom Kobe 1, this new version of the silhouette features upgraded technology for 2018. Made with premium leather and nylon material, the shoes sit atop of a reformed Nike Zoom Air Unit—to provide users with more cushioning and tracking.

Since signing to Nike in the summer of 2003, Kobe and Nike have released a slew of signature basketball sneakers. With Nike launching the Kobe AD last year, these sneakers mark the Black Mamba's 12th signature shoe with the Swoosh.

The Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro will release nationwide starting Feb. 17 on nike.com and at select Nike retailers.
