Nas Owes Kelis Mortgage, Spousal Support Payments

In recent months, Nas’ problems with his ex-wife Kelis have become well publicized. There have been issues relating to the divorce as well as child and spousal support. Apparently, on top of all of that, Nas owes mortgage payments on Kelis’ house.

According to TMZ, the Queensbridge MC is behind $52,989.22 in payments for the home where Kelis lives. In order to catch up to the amount that he should have paid by now, Nas will be paying nearly double what he normally would per month—a shade over $14,000, rather than a shade under $8,000. The heightened payments will end after seven months or if the two sell the house, which they are attempting to do. Nas also owes an initial $17,500, according to the legal document obtained by TMZ.

Also revealed in the document is that Nas owes just over $299,000 in spousal support.
