Migos and Sean Paul Are Dropping New Music Soon
Prepare to hear some intergenerational, cross-genre magic: Migos and Sean Paul have some new music coming out very soon. Paul's longtime collaborator Don Corleon broke the news about Paul's collab with the Atlanta rap trio with an Instagram post earlier this week.
The new track is titled, "Body," and it will be featured on Paul's forthcoming project. The "Bad and Boujee" performers shot the video for the song with the Dancehall legend just the other day. You can see clips and photos from the shoot below.
Sean Paul might not be as huge in 2017 as he was in the early 2000s, but folks should still put a little respect on his name. His collaborating with Migos probably means they did just that. Paul has always cared about the integrity of Dancehall, which he played a massive role in making as big as it became.
It's good to see Paul showing the Migos some love, because last year he let it be known he didn't exactly feel Drake's approach to the genre. “It is a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do Dancehall-orientated music but don’t credit where Dancehall came from and they don’t necessarily understand it,” Paul said in an interview with The Guardian.
He continued, “A lot of people get upset, they get sour. And I know artists back in Jamaica that don’t like Major Lazer because they think they do the same thing that Drake and Kanye did–they take and take and don’t credit.”
There's no word on when "Body" will be released, but we can't wait to hear it for ourselves.
