Masta Ace's ability to craft engaging concept albums is amazing. The Juice Crew member has been putting on a master class in conceptual hip-hop for over two decades now. The Brooklyn MC's latest work of art is his album The Falling Season which dropped back in May.

The impressive album features Masta Ace going back to his high school days. The "Born to Roll" MC begins the album with his first day of school before going through all the way to graduation. But the closing track, "Story of Me," acts as an epilogue to the story. The song sees Ace telling the story of his own career from the missed opportunities to the greatness he has achieved.

Masta Ace gives "Story of Me" the spotlight by releasing a music video for the record. The visual includes some beautiful shots of New York City while Ace rhymes in some different spots around the town.

"Could have signed with Def Jam but Lyor changed/Changed his mind at the strangest time/He was still destined to sign a dangerous mind/Another cat with the grind the same as mine/Another son born on the fourth would come/He was of course the one with that course to run/And like a ham sandwich on the softest bun/I refuse to eat it, I would not be defeated," Masta Ace raps.

If you have not heard The Falling Season already, you should stream it right now on Bandcamp. You can also purchase the LP through iTunes or Amazon.
