Loverboy's 1981 hit "Everybody's Working for the Weekend" has fueled countless Wednesday afternoon jam sessions that Mac Miller and Miguel can only hope to achieve with their collab "Weekend" from Mac's GO:OD AM album. In the video, which premiered last night (Jan. 11) on MTV 2, the rapper and singer cruise in an old-school muscle car as they go over their plans to party away the upcoming weekend. The clip itself is dimly lit and features faceless ballerinas, Miller rapping in a jungle-like setting and a warehouse ripe for a party. Sounds like the duo have an epic few days lined up.

Mac Miller had as good a 2015 as any rapper in the game. Along with a critically-acclaimed album, the Pittsburgh native went on a 75-date tour and closed out the year with Run On Sentences, Volume Two, a new beat tape delivered under his Larry Fisherman alter-ego. The Warner Bros. signee is looking to keep momentum rolling in 2016 and is working with superstar producer Metro Boomin on new music. The two exchanged pleasantries on Twitter as Mac announced that his life was about to change thanks to the Metro beat back he got in his inbox.

A collab with Metro Boomin may not be the only project Mac is working on with a southern artist. Atlanta upstart Key! also tweeted out on Dec. 27 that he and the Faces rapper have a “big blessing” coming their way. Either way, it appears that Miller is due for some studio time in the ATL soon.
