Lil Wayne Takes Portable Skate Ramp on the Road
Music isn't the only thing that Lil Wayne takes to heart these days. The rapper is also really serious about his skateboarding.
According to TMZ, Weezy is so dedicated to honing his skills on a skateboard that he had his very own personal skate ramp built as a roll out of the back of his Cadillac Escalade.
The skate ramp is essentially a portable quarter pipe that’s cramped into a trailer and is pulled out by the tricked-out Escalade, allowing Wayne and his crew to pull over at will and practice their ollies, kickflips and other skateboarding tricks.
The news of Wayne traveling around with his own skate ramp only enhances his love affair with skating, despite suffering a minor gash in a fall last month. On August 22nd, Weezy tweeted “The Lou was good but I busted my fuggin head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people.”
The cut didn’t discourage the rap superstar from continuing to get back on the board, though. He’s since even tweeted about skipping after parties for skate sessions and skating with pro skateboarder Steve Berra and Rob Dyrdek from MTV’s Fantasy Factory. —Jakinder Singh
