The charges keep mounting for Lil Boosie. The Louisiana State Police have filed felony charges against the incarcerated rapper for allegedly trying to smuggle codeine into prison.

According to Louisiana news network, WAFB, Boosie and two other men (Titus Franklin and Arthur Stewart) were plotting to bring codeine syrup—a key component in the popular southern drug known as sizzurp or lean—into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, where the Trill Entertainment MC is currently locked up on a probation violation while he also awaits trial on separate murder charges.

LSP investigators revealed that the three men—who were all charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution—spoke with an undercover agent about setting up the plan.

"It's an ongoing investigation and we really can't comment," Gary Young, a rep from the Louisiana State Penitentiary told XXLMag.com

XXL recently spoke to Boosie behind bars about how he is adapting to life. “Some days I’m maintaining, but I’m missing my family and the life I had out there,” Boosie told XXL. “My first seven months I was in population, but since June I’ve been on 23-hour lockdown.”
