Kevin Hart is on a big promo run for his upcoming film Ride Along 2 and dropped by "The Breakfast Club" early this morning (Jan. 14) and revealed that he spoke to both Drake and Meek Mill at the height of their beef. The comedian, who claims to be good friends with both MCs, said he gave the two rappers advice and recommended that they move past their issues and get back to being superstars and selling records.

Hart began by giving his take on the beef and how the drama fueled interest in hip-hop. "First and foremost, it's music so no one is going to be against a good back and forth between two musicians," he began. "It fuels that sport...I'm glad it didn't get stupid, it didn't get physical. It's about your music, so ultimately you should never lose sight of your music."

The Ride Along actor then told "The Breakfast Club" hosts about his relationship with the Philly rapper  and what he told him through the ordeal. "That was my thing with Meek," he continued. "Look, at the end of the day, you're Meek Mill now. You may not understand what that means but other people do. That name holds a certain level of respect. People support what you've built, people buy your albums. Get back to getting in the studio and let [the beef] go...

Me and Meek talk and the biggest thing I tell Meek is, 'Dude you're close to reaching you're music goals. Right now, this is an industry that doesn't sell units. Musicians don't sell units right now. So the fact that you are one of eight artists that can sell units, you don't want to jeopardize that. Get back to that!'"

When it comes to Drizzy, the actor had similar advice, telling him that he's a star and can't focus on the negativity for too long. "Drake is Drake...he's our generation's rap superstar," he said. "Get back to being Drake the superstar, this can't last that long and go back and forth. That's where I come in as a friend... If you're a real friend, that's what you do. You don't support the negative banter between the two for too long."

Drake and Hart may have a mini-beef of their own brewing come All-Star Weekend. It was announced today that the two stars will square off against one another as coaches at the 2016 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The rapper will lead Team Canada while the entertainer will patrol the sidelines as the coach of Team USA. The game airs Friday, Feb. 12 at 7.P.M. on ESPN.
