Kaytranada, Lou Phelps and CJ Flemings Show Off for New Song “My Forte”

Kaytranada links up with his little brother Lou Phelps (formerly known as Louie) and CJ Flemings for “My Forte.” Over a sick sample loop, Phelps and Flemings flex their lyrical muscle. Kaytranada always provide excellent production and he doesn't disappoint for this new record.

The track is off Lou Phelps' upcoming project, 001: Experiments, which is expected to feature guest features from Bishop Nehru, Innanet James, Kaytranada and others. There isn't a release date for the project but it should be coming out soon.

Lou, along with his brother, used to make music together as The Celestics, releasing their Supreme Laziness mixtape in 2014. That 15-track mixtape was excellent, featuring guest appearances from GodLink, ST, Dudley Doo, Nana Zen and BC Kingdom with production handled by Kaytranada himself.

The Montreal MC has since then broken out as a solo artist but it's always great to hear them get together. Lou has been sporadically dropping music, with his recent releases being "Average" with KALLITECHNIS, "Tell Me" and his Key!-assisted banger "Rent Is Due."
