Jazz Cartier released his new album Hotel Paranoia earlier this month and continues the push for the LP with a video for the single "Opera" produced by Lantz.

The song, which was inspired by Phantom of the Opera, gets some fittingly dark visuals to accompany it in this music video. "Opera" sees Jazz Cartier rapping about his rise to the top and staking his claim as the new face of Canadian rap.

"I'm the new face of the country/N---as had my names in they mouth so long, so long, I'm immune to assumptions/Labels they hit up my phone like hello, hello, I'm declining the budget/I'm dipping and dodging and bucking and busting/I rose from the ashes, survived the eruption, oh/We put out Marauding, n---as so gossip, I got 'em some coffins/I know that they talking but you should go tell 'em, don't step in my garden/But this is the dawn of the dead/So give me the word, and it's off with they heads," Cartier raps.

XXL just named Jazz Cartier as one of the 10 Canadian artists you should know, so you might want to get familiar with Cartier if you are not already. The Toronto rapper will be touring Europe soon too. Check out the full list of cities and dates below.
