Ice Cube is currently making the rounds to promote his new movie, 21 Jump Street. During his recent visits to Shade 45 and 106 & Park, he talked about continuing his Friday movie series and an upcoming film about his influential rap group, N.W.A.

“Yeah its coming, we producing an N.W.A movie and that movie is actually further along than the Friday movie, ’cause we got a script that’s tight and we about to hire a director and once you hire a director it's really about casting and getting the ball rolling,” he told Sway on Shade 45’s Sway In The Morning. “These both are my pet projects over the next year or two that I’m really making sure they right for everybody."

That’s not the only film on Cube’s mind, though. He also talked about the status of his next Friday movie.

“We was waiting on New Line to cut a check,” Cube said about delivering the next Friday installment. “They did that and now I’m writing the next Friday movie.”

Cube then stopped by 106 & Park and cleared up some rumors about the proposed cast of the film.

“Everybody is gonna be invited back and we gonna do a funny, funny movie and we gonna give the people what they want,” he said, adding that Chris Tucker is the only person who isn't locked in yet. “If he wants to be a part of it, we got open arms for him."
