Today, March 17, is the birthday of rapper Sean Price. The Brooklyn rapper has been a prominent figure in East Coast hip-hop since the early 1990's.

Under the stage name Ruck, Price was a member of the hardcore supergroup Boot Camp Clik, more specifically one half of the duo Heltak Skeltah with Jahmal Bush (aka Rock), in the 90's and assisted on two collective albums before parting ways in 2000. Price fell out off the music grind for a while but got back into it in 2008 when he dropped his third studio album D.I.R.T. with Rock and linked up with another collective, Random Axe in 2009. Comprised of Price, Black Milk and Guilty Simpson, Random Axe released their self-titled album to positive reviews. In December 2014, Price teamed up with Billy Danze And Maffew Ragazino for a remixed EP, “Land of the Crooks (Divided Souls Ent. & DJ Pain 1 Remix).”

Price released his first solo studio in 2005 with Monkey Barz, followed by Jesus Price Supastar in 2007 and most recently Mic Tyson in 2012.

Happy Birthday, Sean Price!
